Música - Inglês

Africa is a continent with a huge range of ethnic, cultural and linguistic diversity. A general description of African music called would not be possible given the amount and variety of expressions. However, there are regional similarities between dissimilar groups, as well as trends that are constant throughout the length and breadth of Africa.
The music of Africa is so vast and varied as the many regions, nations and ethnic groups in the continent. Although there is no distinctly pan-African music, there are common forms of musical expression, especially within the regions.
The music of North Africa and parts of the Sahara region, have a connection to the music of Eastern Europe more than half of sub-Saharan Africa. In addition, music and dance of the African Diaspora (music of Latin America and the Caribbean), like rumba, salsa and the music of Afro-American, was inspired by various traditions brought by African slaves shipped to different parts of the world. but we can say that the sub-Saharan Africa initiated several music styles such as samba, blues, jazz, reggae and rap.
