Africa is a continent of great cultural diversity that is seen strongly linked to the Brazilian culture. One can see great differences in their races, origins, customs, religions and others.

Africans cherish the very moral and even believe that it is very similar to religion. They also believe that man must respect nature, life and other men not to be punished by the spirits with droughts, floods, disease, pestilence, death, etc.. Did not use texts and images or to rely, but they do their rituals from the knowledge passed down through generations old.

Their rites were conducted at sites with certain prayers, dances and songs which can be divided into important moments of life, integration of living and the passage from life to death. In economics, worked mainly in agriculture, but also were engaged in animal husbandry and craft tools.

His influence in shaping the Brazilian people is seen to this day. Although the first contact with African Brazilians have not been satisfactory, they submitted several ways such as:

- Capoeira was created shortly after the arrival in Brazil in the era of enslavement as a defensive struggle, as they had no access to firearms;

- Candomblé which also mark their presence in Brazil, mainly in Bahia territory where slaves were once landed;

- The African Culinary received great news, such as coconut milk, palm oil, palm oil and even the feijoada, which originated in the period in which the slaves mingled scraps of meat to eat.
